Bro. Chaplin was saved at the age of twenty-one under the ministry of the late Rev. Clyde Owen of Lakewood Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL.  While serving the Lord in his home church as S.S. teacher, Jr. church teacher, usher, and bus driver, Bro. Robin felt and answered that unmistakable call of God to preach the Word of God.  It was then that the Chaplin family moved to Greenville, SC where Bro. Chaplin attended and graduated from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College where Dr. Harold B. Sightler was pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  

Bro. Chaplin served as a Church-Planting missionary in Newcastle, WY where he started and pastored Tabernacle Independent Baptist Church, he then came back South to pastor in Bainbridge, GA where after seven years Bro. Chaplin felt the Lord moving him away from that ministry.  On November 4, 2001 the church extended and Pastor Chaplin accepted the call to become the pastor of Bible Baptist Church, which is now Victory Baptist Church.

Pastor and Mrs. Chaplin have been married since 1977 and have three children and four grandchildren.
